Scarborough Middle School - News
Scarborough Middle School is located at 21 Quentin Drive in Scarborough, Maine. Our school is comprised of over 800 students in grades 6, 7 and 8. Our school philosophy is based on the "school within a school" concept. We have five teams - Abnaki, Algonquin, Passamaquoddy, Penobscot and Sokokis. A student stays on the same team for the three years in middle school. We believe this allows teachers and students to build a relationship that enhances their learning. Scarborough Middle School offers a multi age program where students in grades 6, 7 and 8 learn together in the same classroom. This program is a parent choice. Students take part in many different activities such as C.S.S. - "Community - School - Self." The C.S.S. Program is an activity period focusing ten weeks on community service work, ten weeks on a school-wide project of study, and five weeks concentrating on an activity students choose themselves. Scarborough Middle School has a rich and varied sports program. Our teams are known as the "Red Storm."

However, we have been asked by the Maine CDC to increase our surveillance of symptoms associated with pertussis. With the goal of keeping our students healthy, we would like you to have the following facts about pertussis. Read More
