The team name of Cammock Court – was chosen for Captain Thomas Cammock who received a land grant from the King of England that allowed settlers from Plymouth MA to settle in Scarborough. Cammock built a house and began residence in 1635 on land which extended from the Spurwink River to Black Point. Today this area is known as Prout's Neck.
The team name of Winslow Homer Way– was chosen for the artist Winslow Homer. He was an American landscape painter and printmaker, best known for his marine subjects. He is considered one of the foremost painters in 19th century America and a preeminent figure in American art. Homer began his career working as a commercial illustrator working extensively in watercolor. Winslow Homer had a studio here in Scarborough.
