Fishscapes
Students created interesting fishscape compositions by emphasizing the fish and using the space well. Bright colors were used to utilize the Principle of Art, pattern. Texture was incorporated into the compositions with the additions of seaweed and coral. Laptop technology was one of the resources used by students for their research. Experiments with color created many tints and shades in the paintings. Two more Principles of Art, movement and rhythm were used in the water and seaweed. To create a sense of depth, students layered the fish, coral and seaweed. The paintings of Linda Lord were another source of inspiration for students.
