Surrealistic Portrait Collage
Students created a Surrealistic collage which became the inspiration for a portrait painting and a 3-dimensional clay mask. They were inspired by the work of Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte who were known to explore the subconscious mind. The surreal style combines reality with fantasy and uses techniques such as distortion, juxtaposition, metamorphosis and double image.
